NeoPro Introduces NeoStar Fiber Optic Matrix
Atlanta, GA, September 10, 2009 –NeoPro today unveiled their NeoStar™ fiber optic matrix switch at the CEDIA Expo. Using the NeoStar, integrators will be able to design an all digital video home with 8 sources of 1080p encrypted digital video with 6 additional audio sources, all distributed to 8 video and 4 audio only zones. Installation is quick and reliable by use of a single fiber cable that can reach as far as 1,000 feet.
A key part of the technology is Digital Light Interface (DLI™) by OWLink Technology, Inc. DLI uses the advanced optical wave division multiplexing (WDM) scheme to transmit uncompressed video/audio and other data. With OWLink’s patented technology, DLI allows the transmission of high speed HD digital video, high quality digital audio, IR remote control information, USB, LAN, RS232 and other control and data information, all through a thin, single fiber.
Last Spring, NeoPro introduced the LightSpider™, a HDMI, RS232, and IR bridge device to extend the group of signals over a single fiber. The NeoStar now acts as a hub for the LightSpiders using the same fiber technology.
The NeoStar will be on display in Atlanta, GA at the CEDIA Expo in booth 5629. NeoPro staff will also be demonstrating new quick and easy fiber terminations that can be done in minutes. OWLink Technology will also be present with NeoPro in booth 5629 demonstrating future DLI based products from other partners.
