El Cajon, CA, September 2, 2011 - NeoPro today announced that their largest matrix to date, the Tahoe, is now shipping. The 24 input, 80 output matrix switch is targeted towards sports bars and large restaurants, and features dual hot-swappable power supplies.
The results of this year long R&D development has produced a component video matrix that is the perfect size for sports bar systems. The Tahoe can actually start out as a 24×16 matrix, and then field upgraded to a 24×80 matrix as the system grows.
One of the coolest features is the dual hot-swappable power supplies. In the real world, electrical events such as lightning and surges damage power supplies. Having the ability to remove a power supply and replace it with a spare, all while not interrupting the entertainment, is a powerful feature. The bar owner/manager can simply unplug one of the power supplies and remove it from the system, and the other power supply will keep the system running.
Other features that NeoPro designed in were based on customer requests. Users can directly enter a switch command on the front panel. This allows for low budget systems that do not have a control system to do basic switching. Also featured are 16 memory slots. This allows the bar staff to recall preset ’scenes’ rather than entering multiple switching commands.
